Something Difficult

I happened upon a poetic and true blog post from The Unplugged Woodshop and had to share it. Its title is Something Difficult:

“it isn’t about practicing every day-
it isn’t about watching videos or reading wood working books and blogs like this one.
No, if you’d like to really become a better wood worker,
(or for that matter, get better at anything)
then do something difficult.”

But my favorite line, as a shearer, woodworker and writer, was this:

“That’s when the knots in your stomach will really start to mean something.”
